For me, "gaming" has nothing to do with gambling, and I resent the Gambling Industry's co-opting of the term.
Rather, gaming is sitting down with your friends, telling stories, enjoying food and drink, and working towards common goals in a fantasy or science-fiction environment (really: anywhere or anywhen) conjured by the hard labors of one or more of the players. It is an inherently creative and cooperative endeavor!
