Under Construction...
I commute by bicycle 17 miles each way from my home to work at Microsoft, in Redmond. Actually, I typically ride only 4.5-6 miles each way, but still, that's 9-12 miles each day. I favor road bikes because they're lighter and built for speed. However, in the last year I've come to think about a mountain bike. I keep getting flats, and damaging my 21 pound road bike, and figure a mountain bike would deal with the abuse better... We'll see.
