Oct 2025 / Feb 2026: this is a long overdue update. I make the following recipe TWICE per week, in the morning. Each recipe makes THREE pint servings, and I drink it six days a week, and sometimes seven, by drinking half each Saturday and Sunday. (The weekend days are my "cheat" aka fun breakfast day.) That is, this recipe makes 48-52 oz, and I divide it equally. When there's more than 48 oz, I drink the overage right then and there. I make it usually Monday and Thursday mornings. In a large, powerful blender...--1 organic banana --4 raw cage-free eggs and 1/2 cup of egg whites (goal: about six eggs' worth total) (if I don't have egg whites, my standard is SIX EGGS) --1/2 cup organic blueberries (frozen or raw depending on season) --2 heaping tablespoons of toasted wheat germ --2 tablespoons of organic chia seeds --2 tablespoons of raw organic hemp seeds --2 tablespoons of raw organic flax seeds --5-6 tablespoons of Extra-virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) --6-8 baby carrots --Half an apple (Feb 2026: currently omitting; decided was too sweet) --7-9 big leaves raw organic kale (Note: each week I divide one "head" or bag of kale into two portions) --1/2 cup granola (Quaker Oats Plain, or rarely these days: the homemade recipe) --About 2/3 to 1 cup non- or low-fat yogurt (usually organic) --1/2 cup unsweetened organic soymilk --1/2 cup organic skim milk Result: It's quite thick and dense...sludgy! A little sweet, admittedly, but not overly so. I imagine most folks will find it QUITE strongly-flavored. I *love* it!
